One of my favorite parts of working on marketing for the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts is assembling our BCPA ticket raffle baskets for local non-profit fundraiser events.
I recently put together a kid's gift basket that contained a magician's hat (as the basket), a magic wand, a plush bunny, bubbles, those colorful scarves that magicians pull out of their sleeves, and of course 4 tickets to "Todd Oliver & Irving the Talking Dog," which in addition to comedy and ventriloquism, also includes some elements of magic!
Come to think of it, the giving part might be my favorite. It's tempting to think of ticket donations as just a quick giveaway, but for me, it’s so much more than that—it’s a philosophy!
By donating performance tickets, we’re helping our fellow non-profits boost their fundraising efforts and reach their critical goals for the community. We win when they win!
A raffle winner might be someone who has never stepped inside the BCPA before. Our ticket donations are the perfect way to introduce new audiences to the magic of live performance. It turns a fundraising item into an unforgettable experience.
What better way to raise money than by offering a night out filled with laughter, drama, or music? We're not just donating paper; we're offering stress relief, date night, and memories.
If your non-profit has an upcoming gala or event, please don't hesitate to reach out! We are always looking for ways to support the incredible work being done in Brighton and Livingston County.
