Brighton, MI – 12-18-25 – The Brighton Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) celebrated a milestone evening on December 14 with its "Holiday Pops with the Michigan Philharmonic" performance. The event not only reached a total sell-out capacity but also served as a major success for local philanthropic efforts through a partnership with Toys for Tots.

The "Holiday Pops" show saw every seat in the theater booked. Patrons from across Livingston County and beyond gathered to enjoy a high-energy program including the crowd favorite sing-alongs.

“The energy in the room was absolutely incredible,” said Erica Englund, who handles marketing at Brighton Community Education. “To see the community come out in such full force to support the arts while also giving back to children in need is exactly what the BCPA is all about. It was truly a 'standing room only' celebration of the season.”

In addition to the ticket success, the BCPA lobby was transformed into a collection hub for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. Attendees did not disappoint, filling the boxes beyond capacity with new, unwrapped toys. These donations will be distributed to less fortunate children in the local community to ensure they have a joyful holiday.

“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our patrons,” Englund continued. “A sold-out show is a win for our programming, but seeing the mountain of toys in our lobby is a win for the entire Brighton community.”

The Holiday Pops selling out weeks before the show has in turn encouraged patrons to reserve their seats early for the upcoming "Best of Broadway" show on Valentine's Day.
