General
Officially opened in September, 1994, the Brighton Center for the Performing Arts (BCPA) is a unique architectural achievement, designed to be highly flexible in potential uses. Each year, it hosts a wide variety of events including symphony performances, commencement exercises, comedy performances, and Broadway caliber shows. Special events and receptions are also organized in the Center itself or in the surrounding facilities. Located on the campus of Brighton High School, the Center is easily accessible from both I-96 and US-23.
The BCPA is equipped with:
- 899 seats (662 lower level, 237 balcony)
- 28 seats for persons with disabilities
- 100% unobstructed sight lines
- Hydraulic orchestra pit
- Rehearsal studio
- Computerized lighting equipment
- State-of-the-art sound system
- Large, comfortable dressing rooms
- Fully lighted make-up rooms
- 20' x 20' projection screen
- LCD video/data projector with visualizer

In addition to arts and entertainment events, the Center is ideally located and outfitted for business seminars, receptions, annual meetings, lectures, expositions, conferences, and multimedia events. Superior service not only to patrons attending events, but also to event sponsors, crew, performers, etc. is our standard. Information is readily available and knowledgeable technicians are found easily and quickly to answer any questions.
